Maintenance Shaft

'maintenance shaft' conveys a sense of loneliness, and feeling lost. Playing off themes from the liminal space and backrooms communities, I worked to intentionally create a sense of things being 'off' or uncanny. This also serves as a study in dramatic lighting, and makes use of the dithering algorithm I previously developed. This is the third of a series of works in the same setting, which also served as concept art for a demo game made in Unreal Engine.
